Let our clients do the talking

How quickly can respite care be arranged?
This is dependent on the outcome of your care assessment and the availability of suitably experienced carers. In most cases, we can usually implement care in as little as 48 hours. While we typically have good carer availability for respite care, we recommend booking your care in advance to ensure availability, especially for planned breaks.
What training will the carer have?
We have a detailed recruitment process that enables us to only recruit the very best carers. Candidates are screened against our unique values framework and sit a pioneering situational judgement test ahead of a final interview. If successful, applicants then complete a five-day induction programme, including modules such as first aid, moving and handling, medication and health conditions. All carers are required to complete a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
How much does respite care cost?
Costs are based on the level of care required by the clients and are different for everyone. Live-in respite care is priced from £257 per day and hourly care is from £29 per hour. Costs can only be confirmed once a free care assessment has been completed with you by a care manager. Funding options may be available to you depending on your personal circumstances.
How many weeks of respite care can I have?
We offer a minimum of two weeks respite (which can be split in any way over two separate periods) and a maximum of eight weeks in one respite period. We can also provide repeat respite, where we can schedule regular blocks of respite care throughout the year to provide relief for family members or carers.
Why is it important that my care provider is regulated?
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the regulatory body in England that inspects and monitors care providers across the UK. A CQC-regulated service offers peace of mind and reassurance as to the quality offered by a care provider. Our ‘Outstanding’ rating in all five areas in England and our ‘Excellent’ in Scotland assures you we are exceeding standards in the quality of care we provide.
